B.TECH PROGRAM

B. TECH (EEE) - PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO's)

A graduate of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Program should:

PEO - I Success in Electrical Engineering : To provide students with the knowledge of Basic Sciences in general and Electrical and electronics Engineering in particular so as to acquire the necessary skills for analysis and synthesis of problems in generation, transmission and distribution.
PEO - II Industrial awareness and research: To provide technical knowledge and skills to identify, comprehend and solve complex tasks in industry and research and inspire the students to become future researchers / scientists with innovative ideas.
PEO - III Successful employment and professional ethics: To prepare the students for successful employment in various Industrial and Government organizations, both at the National and International level, with professional competence and ethical administrative acumen so as to handle critical situations and meet deadlines.
PEO - IV Being an leader professional and societal environment: To train the students in basic human and technical communication skills so that they may be both good team-members, leaders and responsible citizen.

 

B. TECH (EEE) - PROGRAM OUTCOMES (PO's)

A graduate of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Program will demonstrate:

 PO1: Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO2: Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences
PO3: Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO4: Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
PO5: Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
PO6: The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
PO7: Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
PO8: Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
PO9: Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
PO10: Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
PO11: Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.
PO12: Life-long learning: Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change.
B. TECH (EEE) - PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSO's)

A graduate of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Program will demonstrate:

PSO1:

Design, Develop, Fabricate and Commission the Electrical Systems involved in Power generation, Transmission, Distribution and Utilization.

PSO2:

Focus on the Components of Electrical Drives with its Converter Topologies for Energy Conversion, Management and Auditing in Specific applications of Industry and Sustainable Rural Development.

PSO3:

Gain the Hands-On Competency Skills in PLC Automation, Process Controllers, HMI and other Computing Tools necessary for entry level position to meet the Requirements of the Employer.

M.TECH PROGRAM

M. TECH (EEE) - PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO's)

The students of M.Tech - Electrical Power Systems, are prepared to:

PEO - I Impart engineering knowledge in specific and re-equip with latest technologies to analyze, synthesize the problems in power system and multidisciplinary sectors.
PEO - II Design, develop innovative products and services in the field of electrical power systems with the latest technology and toolset.
PEO - III Inculcate research attitude and life-long learning for a successful career.
PEO - IV Attain intellectual leadership skills to cater the needs of power industry, academia, society and environment.
M. TECH (EEE) - PROGRAM OUTCOMES (PO's)

Upon completion of M.Tech - Electrical Power Systems, the students will be able to:

PO1: Identify, formulate and solve power system related problems using advanced level computing techniques.
PO2: Explore ideas to carry out research / investigation independently to solve practical problems through continuing education.
PO3: Demonstrate knowledge and execute projects on contemporary issues in multidisciplinary environment.
PO4: Ability to write and present a substantial technical report / document.
PO5: Inculcate ethics, professionalism, multidisciplinary approach, entrepreneurial thinking and effective communication skills.
PO6: Function effectively as an individual or a leader in a team to propagate ideas and promote teamwork.
PO7: Develop confidence for self-study and to engage in lifelong learning.
