History of the Department

The journey of the Civil Engineering Department at IARE began in 2008. Over the past 17 years, the department has steadily evolved, building a strong foundation of rigorous academic training, industry-oriented skills, and impactful research initiatives.

B.Tech (Civil Engineering)

  • Started with 60 seats in 2008
  • Intake increased to 120 in 2013
  • Accredited by NBA for 3 years in 2016
  • Accredited by NBA for 3 years in 2019
  • Intake reduced to 60 in 2020
  • Intake reduced to 30 in 2022
  • Accredited by NBA in Tier-I (Washington Accord) for 3 years in 2025

M.Tech (Structural Engineering)

  • Started with 24 seats in 2014
  • Intake reduced to 18 in 2019
  • Intake reduced to 12 in 2022
  • Intake reduced to 06 in 2024
