Center for VLSI and Embedded Systems
About
The Center of Excellence aspire training and research in VLSI design and embedded systems design for energy-efficient and high-performance microprocessors, asynchronous circuits, low-power circuits, and communication links, power analysis and optimization for CMOS circuits
The VLSI and Embedded Systems Laboratory (VESL) provides basic and advanced facilities for UG and PG Coursework, project works and research facilities in the area of device modeling, simulation and various aspects of advanced VLSI design. Intended to design high-speed circuit technologies and novel architectures methodologies for better energy efficiency, performance and robustness of highly integrated circuits and systems.
The primary functions of the research center are to
- Produce highly competent and resourceful young engineers who can perform well in varied professions.
- Provide prototype solutions to future problems in VLSI and embedded engineered systems for high-performance and low-energy VLSI technologies.
- Advance and cater knowledge in the areas of state of the art technologies like embedded systems and VLSI to meet the growing challenges.
- Develop a strong fundamental base which enable students to explore academic and collaborative interactions with industry, academia and research organizations.
- Collaborate with university partners and international technology communities, such as technological conference committees, journal editorial boards, and international technology prize juries.
- Promote 'Knowledge Exchange Program'
- Provide excellent research culture and infrastructure.
- Serve as a platform for strong interdisciplinary collaborations and knowledge sharing. Publish papers in high quality journals of international repute.
- Create quality human resources for scientific research.
