Virtusa - PL/SQL

In order to cope up with market demands and equip the students to become successful in the field of data Integration, institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Hyderabad has partnered with Virtusa Corporation, a global provider of digital strategy, digital engineering, and IT outsourcing services and started its first Center of Excellence (CoE) to train the students on PL/SQL.

The collaboration outlines objective to upskill young students by familiarizing them with new-age technologies and prepare them with the knowledge of applying these technologies in everyday life.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Center of Excellence is responsible for building, implementing, and communicate best sourcing practices and tools to drive operational excellence to young graduates.
• Virtusa will nominate its subject matter experts to give out industry-oriented valuable inputs.
• Virtusa team will mentor and review the work of students to ensure that they are industry ready by the time of their graduation.
• Additionally, as part of the coursework, students will have opportunity to work on real time projects that will expose them on actual work environment.
• Students will also get an opportunity to do internship at Virtusa offices along with pre-placement offer.

CoE Activities

Faculty will undergo intensive training on PL/SQL and get certified by Virtusa, inturn students who get placement offer by Virtusa will be trained by certified faculty on PL/SQL.

Nature of Support for CoE Establishment

• Industry–Academia Collaboration – Establishment of a dedicated PL/SQL Center of Excellence (CoE) to bridge academic learning with enterprise technology requirements, supported by the provision of relevant training materials, software, tools, and other resources required for hands-on learning and practical skill development.
• Industry Expert Support – Virtusa nominates Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to provide technical guidance and industry-oriented inputs.
• Faculty Upskilling & Certification – Intensive PL/SQL training and certification for faculty to create an internally capable training ecosystem.
• Student Skill Development – Structured PL/SQL training delivered by certified faculty with industry-aligned content and practical exercises.
• Industry Mentorship – Virtusa experts mentor students and review their work to strengthen technical competency and industry readiness.
• Real-Time Project Exposure – Students get opportunities to work on industry-relevant and real-time projects, gaining exposure to actual development environments.
• Hands-on Technical Learning – Practical exposure to SQL, PL/SQL programming, database development, data integration and enterprise application practices.
• Internship Opportunities – Selected students receive opportunities for internships at Virtusa offices, providing valuable industry exposure.
• Placement & Career Enablement – Students demonstrating the required competencies may receive pre-placement opportunities, subject to applicable selection processes.
