Akanksha, The e-Learning Content Management Portal is a streaming media platform that provides users with the ability to upload, record, manage, and share video clips. Akanksha, The e-Learning Content Management Portal can be used for academic and instructional purposes, co-curricular activities, and for personal use.
As IARE moves into the cloud, faculty are encouraged to create their own audio and video learning resources to ensure you have the skills to deliver rich, engaging content. By using audio and video materials in your courses, you are able to make your content more accessible to a wider range of students, be creative with your assessment tasks and address graduate learning outcome requirements.
Having audio and video available to your students can support their learning in the following ways.
The ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) Studio provides resources and training for video capture, production and publication. The ICT Studio is equipped with:
The Dean of CLET (Center for Learning and Educational Technologies) helps the instructors on how they can meet their learning objectives by integrating appropriate technology into their curriculum. The Dean feature individualized consultation support to assist in achieving solutions that work for faculty and students. The staff in the office of CLET are skilled in bridging the gap between pedagogy goals and technology. They emphasize identifying and using the right technology for the situation, and on designing and utilizing student-focused activities.
Once editing of your audio or video is complete, you have two options for making it available to your students. They include: publishing your audio and video online through IARE YouTube Channel and providing a link; or embedding the media in Akanksha, The e-Learning Content Management Portal. If latter is going to be your preferred distribution option, embed media in MP4 format.
