The SAE Northern Section Effi-cycle 2021 was a virtual event and was sponsored by M/s HONDA, M/s Maruti Suzuki and M/s ICAT. The department of Mechanical Engineering at IARE incepted “TEAM DECA” a combination of Students who possess expertise in the manufacturing techniques necessary for building an energy-efficient three-wheeled vehicle and a faculty to confront a daunting task as pioneers and trailblazers in the design of an innovative, regenerative energy-efficient three-wheeled vehicle to be a participant in the national level competition and co participated by premier universities and other renowned colleges across the nation. Following a successful endeavor, the team has attained the 10th position among 52 participating teams.
SAE collegiate club was started by the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the year 2015 with 60 students and 2 faculty advisors. The team has initiated the design and fabrication of the Innovative Bicycle with prior experience in SAE SUPRA, Go-Kart and mechatronics motion sensed excavator. In the process of building up of the Energy efficient three-wheeled vehicle, the team involved in various techno commercial discussions.
The team was successful for identifying standard elements, fabricating various critical parts for innovative energy efficient three-wheeled vehicle and participated in the prestigious event Virtual Mode. The significance of the lead team being equal participation by both genders and a complete corporate work structure. Further, the team successfully demonstrated integrity and professional skills in front of national judges, making it a stepping stone for knowledge transfer generations after Regeneration System Using Piezo-Electric Transducers incorporated in the design as a mark of innovation. The competition was fully supported and sponsored by the Management and the Principal of IARE.
