The program assessment & quality improvement is functioning both at the level of institute and department, which is responsible for smooth functioning and monitoring of all academic activities.

Functionalities of PAQ

  • Consider the recommendations of the departmental academic committee on matters relating to UG and PG program and to make suitable recommendation to the Principal.
  • Monitoring the attainments of Program Outcomes (POs), Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs) and Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)
  • Motivating the faculty and students towards attending workshops, developing projects and products, working models, paper publications and engaging in research activities.
  • Frame and revise the curricula for the UG and PG courses of study.
  • Evaluating program effectiveness and proposing necessary changes.
  • Ensure that all norms and regulations pertaining to UG and PG programme are strictly followed.
  • Make periodic review on policies, regulations and instructions pertaining to UG and PG programs and to recommend to the Principal any modification thereof.
  • Review the academic performances of students in general and make suitable recommendations to the Principal.
  • Recommend to the Principal, regarding the award of stipends, scholarships, medals & prizes etc.
  • Consider and recommend to the Principal any special cases related to registration, attendance, examination, etc.
  • Any other job assigned by the Principal.

Frequency of Meetings: At least twice every semester

 

2. INSTITUTE DISCIPLINE

The committee focuses on discipline related issues of the students and resolves the issues by suitable awareness drives, students counseling, monitoring, and control. The members also study the case of indiscipline and send the final report to the Principal for necessary action.

3. FACULTY RECRUITMENT COMMITTEE (FRC)

The objective of the Staff Selection Committee is to evaluate the requirement of teaching staff for the institute and plan accordingly to recruit adequate qualitative faculty on merit.

Functionalities of FRC

  • Conduct SCM as per requirement in department wise for teaching faculty.
  • Prepare an evaluation sheet filled up during the interview by each committee member and signed, it is submitted with the committee minutes.
  • Prepare an interview schedule to conduct for the short listed applicants.
  • The member secretary submits an annual report of committee activities to the chairman of the institute.
  • To develop criteria that assure those faculty members that possesses sufficient academic and professional qualifications.
  • To review and improve the orientation and mentoring program for new faculty.

4. PLACEMENT AND TRAINING (PAT)

The members make all the efforts to bring the agencies for placement and arrange for campus placement interviews, make all arrangements for pre- placement talks, hospitality of interviewers / company ambassadors and will also make arrangements for strong industry-institution interaction by arranging lectures / seminars / training programmes of experts from industries / Govt. Public Sector / Defense etc., for preparing students for placement. They also find out the organizations for deputing the students for field training. 7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & TECH TRANSFER

The current and stated Intellectual Property (IP) Policy of the Institute of Aeronautical Engineering (IARE) aims to facilitate the protection of intellectual property generated during scientific pursuit in the Institute and offers scope for wealth generation, alleviation of human sufferings and betterment of human life. All faculty, staff and students to document their IP, so that it could be protected and applied to the gain of the country, the institute and the concerned inventors. IARE is keen to facilitate faculties and staff of IARE in a proactive manner in the generation, protection and transaction of Intellectual Property which offer potential and scope for shared benefits to both institute and inventors. Through this policy, a system will be in place to bring order into the process of knowledge generation and commercial exploitation.

9. INNOVATION STEERING

The committee enables the environment to trigger the process of conversion of knowledge into wealth in a society through the well established ecosystem. TIIC supports the young minds who want to become entrepreneurs or innovators by providing access to the state-of-the-art facilities, co-working space, mentorship and other utilities within campus. The centre also provides financial aid to students and faculty of the institute for transforming their ideas into end products. It aims at offering students with innovative ideas and an opportunity to become entrepreneurs. Promising candidates, who have exciting ideas, can start right from the first year. The Centre aims to nurture technology and knowledge-based entrepreneur’s right from ideation stage to starting a business venture.

10. START-UP & INCUBATION

This Committee is a facilitation center to support start-ups in the areas of agriculture, rentable energy, rural innovation, IoT, machine design, production technology, and smart manufacturing enabling "Smart Manufacturing via the Make in India Initiative". STSP generates, supports, and cultivates a vibrant Start-up ecosystem in the institute resulting in innovation and entrepreneurship-driven employment and economic growth. The primary vision is to facilitate a platform for a budding entrepreneur to start a business venture with minimum risks.

11. ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT

The main aim of Entrepreneurship Development is to create a strong and thriving local startup ecosystem at the centre to help the students, alumni and faculty so they can prosper. Encourage the entrepreneurs amongst the students, staff and faculty of the institute with proper guidance and mentoring as needed. Assist in preparing for the real-world challenges in work place, and also arrange interaction with entrepreneurs and create a mentorship scheme for student entrepreneurs. facilitate creation of entrepreneur’s club in each college to foster culture of entrepreneurship amongst students.

12. ICT & E-LEARNING

The committee focuses on the development of apps (both Android and iOS operating system), for various engineering courses and other activities like transportation details, IARE Info etc. The app contains power point presentations, lecturer notes and video lecturers prepared by subject experts.

13. CAMPUS INFRASTRUCTURE MAINTENANCE

The members meet to discuss the new infrastructure to be created, and suggest renovation and modification in infrastructure, if and when required. They study the proposal and work out all the necessary details in consultation with the Convener and submit it to the Principal for further action. The committee ensures that for the reports received regarding CE, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Computer Networking, EPABX, Elevator, Generator, Refrigeration & Air-conditioning, Plumbing & Sanitary, Carpentry, etc., repairing/maintenance rework/modification/new infrastructure development is executed promptly to the satisfaction of the concerned HOD of the department. The committee also regularly inspects and looks into the maintenance of the IARE Auditorium, canteen, central water tank and surroundings, in order to keep infrastructure well maintained.

17. LIBRARY AND INFORMATION

Library Committee had been constituted for the purpose of smooth functioning of the library and coordination with all Heads of the Department, faculty members, and the students. The committee also works towards modernization and improvement of library and documentation services. The committee prepare budget and proposals for the development of the library and also take measures to increase the membership of the Library beyond the boundaries of the College.

18. SPORTS AND GAMES

The convener may also choose one student member each from I, II, III & IV B. Tech, and MBA classes and one girl student. This committee prepares sports calendar and an action plan to implement the same. It suggests the methods which encourage students and faculty to utilize sports and games facilities available in the college. It also conducts meetings, whenever required, and discusses relevant issues in consultation with the principal seeking his approval.

19. EVENT PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT

The committee promotes and arranges extracurricular activities to bring out the talents of students in performing arts. 20. EXAMINATIONS

The committee focuses on conducting the examinations and making policy decisions in regard to organizing and holding examinations, improving the system of examinations, appointing the paper setters, examiners, moderators and also prepare the schedule of dates of holding examinations and declaration of the results. The committee shall also oversee and regulate the conduct of examinations in the institution. It deals with all the matters in relation to examinations and shall hear the complaints received pertaining to any matter arising out of conduct of examinations and decide the course of action.

21. INSTITUTE ADMISSIONS

The committee is well acquainted with all the rules and regulations of admissions as prescribed by Govt. and guide the students seeking admission accordingly. They prepare plan for addressing 12th standard, diploma students as a career counseling activity. It also focuses on sending representatives to admission centers for counseling the students as and when required. They maintain the record of admitted students and forward it to concerned department. They guide the admitted students to complete the admission procedure like paying fees, getting roll nos., getting hostel admission, getting I-card, fulfilling eligibility criteria, getting timetables etc.

22. CANTEEN COORDINATION

This committee is headed by the Principal where the HODs of all the departments and members of the student council are a part of it. The committee members are involved in reviewing the process regularly which helps in proper maintenance and see to that things are implemented in a proper manner. The committee will be functional for a period of one year and it will be at the disbursement of the principal to elect a new committee.

23. RESEARCH ETHICS

The Committee has an important role to play in ensuring the ethical standards and scientific merit of research. It is aimed at comprehensive ethical scrutiny process and to address relevant ethical considerations of research scholars. REC is committed to promote ethical research culture in the institute by implementing specific and goal oriented research activities / schemes to facilitate research activities to be undertaken by the faculty members independently or collaboratively involving industry and students. 29. HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELLBEING

The main tasks of this committee are to promote awareness and good practice; enable consultation and cooperation between faculty and management; and report to and advise the coordinator of service division on all matters relating to the health, safety and wellbeing of staff, students and third parties in the faculty/service division. This committee is also responsible for initiating, monitoring and reviewing faculty/ service division implementation of the institute health and safety management system, and providing recommendations for improvement.

31. INSTITUTE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

IARE in alignment with its vision and mission of serving the country and human community at large organizes various awareness campaigns and donation drives with the human resource available within its ambit. This committee expand and elevate the knowledge through practice on social activities to benefit the local population, which includes:

  • Imparting skills and knowledge through free education and study material to the financially downtrodden student. 
  • Making awareness about the basic concepts of hygiene and cleanliness habits, hygiene and sanitation.
  • Creating awareness through various campaigns on pressing issues and develop potential erroneous beliefs on drugs.
  • Imparting practical knowledge of basic legal rights even to the common man of the nation and enable them to face the challenges in real life situations. 
  • Imbibe social responsibility and patriotism amongst the students and motivate them to adopt the culture of sacrifice in life by making them donate voluntarily things and services for the welfare of the society.

33. CAREER AND EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS

This is a unique and dedicated committee of institute The advent of globalization has opened up Indian economy to the outside world. The competition among industries has become stiff; therefore, it is needed to prepare students for jobs in multinational companies, by exposing them to newer technologies and engineering methodologies. The Committee creates a healthy environment by engaging industry and academia resources combined in skill building programs. A gap between training and placements is usually observed in academics and to combat this gap, skill building programs are designed with industries. This approach has ensured better interaction between industry and academia, enhancing relevant skills and also innovative thinking amongst the students.

39. PREVENTION OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT

All members of the Institute should be aware that the IARE prohibits and will not tolerate sexual harassment of its faculty, staff, and students. Each member of the IARE is expected to support efforts to keep the campus free of sexual harassment. Never be a silent witness to any sort of sexual harassment rather try to prevent it. The existing academic / administrative bodies of the institute are responsible for ensuring prevention, prohibition and redressal of the sexual harassment in the Institute.

40. TIMETABLE COMMITTEE (TTC)

The timetable is a plan of the times when particular events are to take place in the institute. A timetable is a list that shows the day / time in the week at which particular course was taught. The timetable reflects the entire educational program of the institutions. The timetable is prepared for all the B.Tech / M.Tech. / MBA programs.

Functionalities of TTC

  • Ensure better utilization of time and resources.
  • Provide a balanced workload for the faculty in order to have better performance.

Roles and Responsibilities of Convener

  • To prepare the class time table at the beginning of each semester with the active involvement of the committee members of the respective department in the Time Table Committee
  • Ensuring that conflicts in Timetable are avoided.
  • Providing the information regarding Timetables and venue.
  • Coordinating the Timetables and making it available before commencement of each semester.
  • Ensuring the timetables is available on the departmental notice boards before each semester.
  • Reviewing and managing the timetables and addressing any of the conflicts regarding the clashes in the timetables.

Roles and Responsibilities of Members

  • Preparing the class and laboratory timetables at the beginning of every semester.
  • Preparing faculty timetables and workload.
  • Maintaining a timetable committee file.
  • Posting the class and lab Timetables on the respective classroom boards.
  • Making sure that the faculty individual timetables are submitted to each faculty before the beginning of the semester.
  • Working collaboratively with other members to meet the timetable requirements.
  • Ensures that clashes and conflicts on Staff Timetable are avoided and resolved.

41. TRANSPORT

This committee is formed to ensure convenience in travelling for students and faculty. The transportation service operates on all working days, at fixed timings from various places predefined to be operated from.

Functionalities of Transport committee

  • Arranging the transport facility for all students and staff from college to different areas and vice versa.
  • Maintaining periodically all the buses and respond immediately to major repairs if any.
  • Checking periodically the logbooks maintained by the drivers.
  • Arranging transport facility for the students and staff for any educational tour, visit for sports competitions etc.
  • Time management of buses.
  • Arranging for agreement with transport company for additional buses if required.

42. HOSTEL COMMITTEE

Hostel committee is to provide safe and healthy environment for the students to stay, live together to maintain mutual understanding and also improve the curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Functionalities of Hostel committee

  • Plan and monitor the maintenance of all the infrastructure facilities concerned with the hostel.
  • Supervise all facilities / amenities and their up keep, receive complaints from students, redress of grievances etc.
  • Control, counsel the behavior of students in the hostel, monitor study schedules and patterns, etc.
  • Plan for all the infrastructure facilities required as per.
  • Responsible for proper maintenance of the lodging and boarding facilities of the hostel and for smooth running of the hostel.

Roles and Responsibilities of Convener

Facilitates the grievance redressal of students and communicate same to the concerned authorities. Keeps a check on the daily issues regarding hostel infrastructure, house- keeping etc. and ensures an enriching stay at the hostel.

Roles and Responsibilities of Member (Faculty)

  • To supervise, take steps for the maintenance of hostel facilities with hygiene.
  • Plan all the infrastructure facilities required as per norms.
  • Control and make suggestions to hostel management.
  • Maintaining of the discipline in the hostel.
  • The committee shall assist that time the allotment of rooms.
  • Supervise and ensure proper and limited use of electricity and water in the hostel premises.

Roles and Responsibilities of Member (Student)

  • To plan for smooth and timely operation of the mess and also verify the quality of food being served.
  • To conduct study hours before examinations.
