Teaching Excellence Awards - Process and Procedure
Every year, institute recognizes up to four faculty who represent the best qualities of teachers, both in and out of the classroom and award them with one Gold Chain (The First Best), Three Gold Rings (Second, Third and Fourth Best).
Eligibility & Process:
- Full-time faculty members who have taught for at least two (2) years are eligible to receive the Teaching Excellence Award.
- Eligible faculty who have taught at least TWO theory courses (UG/PG) of full class strength from both ODD and EVEN Semesters in that academic year with average result and appraisal score > 50% are to be considered for nomination. In case if more than two courses are taught, results and appraisals of best TWO subjects may be considered.
- A department may present three nominations per year from among its eligible members. department may constitute a committee under the headship of HOD and two senior faculty members for selection of nominees.
- Nominations for this award may be made based on the following:
- Past recipients of a Teaching Excellence Award may not be nominated within the last FIVE years of receiving an award. However they may be considered for higher medal in case they have got lower medal. For the same medal, the concerned will not be eligible for next FIVE years
- The Selection Committee for the Teaching Excellence Awards will consist of Principal, Dean of Academic, Dean of R&D, Dean of PMCS, Dean of IQAC and one of the Teaching Excellence Award winners.
