e-Governance @IARE

Since 2014, our thought in start of developing our own administrative software was found to be a good solution for e-Governance, and the campus management services provided are very successful. But, in the year 2020 when the first generation of software and servers became obsolete, our system had a choice: It could purchase software and hosting services from outside vendors, or rewrite software in a newer computer language and expand our own hosting capacity. We chose to rewrite and re-host our own software, which proved to be an overwhelming, labor-intensive, multi-year task. This work was taken up by Centre for Software Development, to make diverse customized software solutions tailored to their exact needs. While that work was underway, individual requirements began to customize or invent more of their own solutions to meet emerging student and faculty needs. Institute using BuildIT software with integrated teaching and learning, student services, finance and accounts, examination, and administrative systems. Appropriate security measures are taken to maintain the confidentiality and integrity of data using Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Role of e-governance in institution

Introduction of e-governance in education will empower the education system by providing new ways of communications between staff to student, staff to their fellow staff and between student to student.
e-governance can enhance and promote new methods of delivering the desired knowledge to students and will offer new insight to organize and deliver the requisite services.
Cost effective technology combined with the flexibility in learning and administration activities is essential to enhance efficiency as computer can be used for educational administrations.
The quality of our education system can be improved to make institute really world class in fastest possible way.

Areas of the Institute focused on e-governance

Cloud based e-Govarnance ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software portals developed automates all major processes of academic and non-academic operations. These ERP software portals work on centralized database, tracks and manages activities of all the departments of the institute including the administration, office, purchases, departments, finance, library, HR, etc.

To promote paperless environment in the Institute, following computerized systems are also in place:

Electronic Inter Office Order Notifications (e-ION) system for official correspondence and task management.
Electronic Mail Tracking System (e-MTS) to maintain mail movement record and location of document (files, letters, documents, etc.) through Google.
MyBox system to store faculty and student records in AWS Cloud.

Core Team

1	Ms Devineni Murali Madhavi, IT Manager, leads the development effort at CSD. She brings along 14+ years of industry experience at Nitya Infotech, Makri Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in India and the US in the domains of web and cloud applications, and E-Commerce for creating world class products and solutions.
2	Mr Krishna Rao Patro, Manager, Software Strategic Initiatives, manages the entire development work at CSD. Prior to joining IARE, he worked for 4+ years with Nous Infosystems and 3i Infotech as a Business Analyst with expertise in Business Intelligence and Wealth Management domains.
3	Mr A Srikanth, Sr. Software Developer, specializes in PHP development. He has good experience of working with large scale web-systems for academia.
