NAAC ACCREDITATION (2nd Cycle)

Institute of Aeronautical Engineering (IARE) applied for 2nd Cycle accreditation by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous body under University Grants Commission (UGC) New Delhi which accredits all colleges across India.

As a part of the accreditation process, the institute submitted IIQA (Institutional Information for Quality Assessment) and it got approved on 06 April, 2023. Then the Self Study Report (SSR) was submitted on 17 June, 2023 and the pre-qualifier was cleared on 14 August, 2023.

The NAAC Peer Team visited IARE during 21-23 December, 2023 and conducted a detailed evaluation of the institute and its facilities on 7-point criteria. The peer team consisted of three eminent persons - Dr. Sharad Mhaiskar, Pro-Vice Chancellor, NMIMS University, Mumbai as the Chairperson; Dr Bhuvan Parekh, Former Dean, MS University of Baroda, Vadodara, as the Member Co-ordinator; and Dr. C Nadamuni Reddy, Principal, AITS, Tirupati, as the Member.

At the end of the visit the Peer Team submitted an assessment report to NAAC. Based on the report submitted by the NAAC Peer Team, the institute has been Accredited with a CGPA of 3.62 on a 4 point scale at A++ Grade, valid for a period of 5 years from 29 December, 2023.
