VLSI Design Using Cadence Tool

We use ECAD tools, which are widely adopted by industries, are Composer, Verilog, Analog Design Environment, Spectre Circuit Simulator, Virtuoso, Silicon Ensemble, CustomIC and Verification tools.

To familiarize students with the realities of design complexities and IC layout environments they will get exposure to VLSI CAD tools in the following levels – system level behavior analysis, logic verification, schematic, layout, parasitic extraction, and circuit simulation through the laboratory experiments and projects assigned in various courses.

The Cadence software is used at IARE in various ECE circuit design. Some of the example projects as listed below.

  • CMOS imagers
  • Implantable sensors
  • High performance issues of micro-/nano-electronic circuits
  • Analog-to-digital converters
  • Advanced digital, analog and mixed signal IC design issues.
  • Ultra-low-power circuits and systems design

ARM and Embedded Software Training

This course would provide you knowledge and practical experience on the fast growing field of Embedded Systems. The program is an exhaustive hands-on lab training program on Embedded System Applications using ARM Cortex-M0 processor covering all aspects of the design process.

ARM, an Advanced RISC Machine is emerging as one of the prominent standard for embedded RISC processing across communication, networking, consumer, portable, automotive and multimedia application markets. PCB Design and Fabrication Lab | PCB Designing Machine

A PCB mechanically supports and electrically connects electronic component using conductive tracks, pads and other features etched from copper sheets laminated onto a non-conductive substrate. Design, Fabrication, assembly and testing, including their reliability and quality aspects can be conducted in this Lab using MITS Eleven PCB Prototyping Machine Nvis1800.

SAP ABAP - eAcademy

SAP Training and Certification at IARE SAP eAcademy is an excellent learning experience for students and provides an intensive and comprehensive hands-on training program on SAP ERP products and business applications leading to SAP certification. CISCO Academy

CISCO Certified Training course offered by CISCO Inc., USA. CCENT/CCNA in Routing and switching covers basics of CISCO Networking and Routing switching technologies along with IP addressing schemes, routing basics, switching and Wan Technologies. After completion of course, a candidate can easily install, configure and troubleshoot Cisco Routers and switches for small Networks.

CISCO Networking Academy provides CCENT/CCNA course Training on real Routers and switches. The Networking Academy provides 24×7 Lab facilities for students to perform practical on real CISCO devices.

Internet of Things (IoT) and Applications

Overview of the programme:

A one week FDP on Emerging and New Areas of Technology “Internet of things (IoT) and applications” will be mainly designed for theoretical as well as hands on experience using hardware and software. This is a multidisciplinary activity and hence is open to academic and Industry representatives with varied background. It will cover topics like Smart Cities and IoT, Software defined networks, Smart sensors and systems, Computer forensics and IoT related cyber legislation issues. Basic to advanced topics with hands on using hardware and software will be focus of this course.

Objectives of the programme:

  1. Introduction and description of core concepts of IoT, role and scope of smart sensors for insuring convergence of Technologies and multidisciplinary engineering practices, Machine Intelligence Quotient.
  2. Understanding the need for migrating towards software defined networks and integrating time series data from wireless sensor networks.
  3. Hardware platforms and operating systems commonly used in IoT systems.
  4. Big data predictive analytics and transformation from IT to IOT.
